Completely agree. They never come out and say ‘marriage’ but with a dress, veil, rings, and even the two mentioning how close the situation is to one, it’s blatantly obvious that’s what the writers want it to read as. It’s not just her age that makes me uncomfortable with it, but their maturity level too. They’re mentally children.
I think this is the end of The Ancient Magus’ Bride because it’s been so rushed and the whole title has already come to fruition, so I don’t really see them continuing. Not unless they create an entirely new story because they only hinted at two villians here, and one is out of the picture (and also a bit boring to come back so soon) and the other is one to stay behide the curtain and have others do the dirty work. No one else was introduced to become a possible foe, so that also makes me believe it’s over.
I’ll still read the manga when it comes out, just because I’m invested. It’s a shame to see such an interesting world, lore, and characters go the way it has. I guess I’ll just pretend the ending never happened for now.
