He doesn’t have any clue why it’s so popular, but Cassia loves it. She’s not the kind to post what she’s eating or anything, but she loves the connection with people it gives.

Damocles, on the other hand, wants to stay to himself and wants others to do the same. However, Cassia makes accounts for him and, out of them all, I bet he’d most like Tumblr or an equivalent to it because he can hide behind a username (where as most others insist on having a real name) and not have to actually post anything to get out of it. The ease of following a tag about something he likes while also not having to interact in any way appeals to him (and his grump nature).

19.  What’s your character’s biggest relationship flaw?  Has the flaw destroyed relationships for them before?

Damocles’ biggest flaw concerning relationships is that he just plain doesn’t know how to have a relationship.  He goes up with the idea that he doesn’t need anyone close when he can feed that physical need for sex without a relationship – which he does very frequently.  People can not like his looks or nature, but he can rock the bedroom better than anyone around because of that detachment, so they look the other way.  They don’t need to like him to have stress relief.  With a relationship, though, Damocles would have to find someone who accepts him and he just doesn’t believe that’s a possibility.  When he does get into a relationship with his mate, it’s hard going for him to know what to do besides what instinct dictates.  Of course, he does have it a bit easier with his parents as examples, so he doesn’t do too bad a job after a few stumbles.

26.  How does your character behave around children?

At first, Ellie was afraid of doing something wrong around children.  She’s never been a woman to imagine herself having them and she wasn’t close to anyone because of her work, let alone close enough to be introduced to their families.  However, she really wanted to figure out how to act because she really wanted to spend time with and be there for the Vakarians.  She doesn’t want to be a mother, but a sort of grandmotherly/aunt figure?  Absolutely.  It’s why she dove into lots of research on children and how-tos, but now she mostly wings it, doing what feels right.  I think her caring so deeply for the twins helps too.
