Working on trying to get back into writing Osteogenesis. Though I might give a sneak peek. đ
Janeâs day starts off with breakfast – if it could be called that – in bed, which is, initially, very confusing until she realizes what today is. Â Not that she had forgotten, she never could, but she has to admit sheâs far from aware right after opening her eyes in the early morning. Â Especially when itâs to a platter of something slightly green and lumpy in the hands of the very man she bound herself to so many years ago today.
Her love for him hadnât waned in the time spent together, fighting and surviving side by side, but asking her to eat what looked suspiciously like hardened snot became a stretch.
âHey,â she says with a lopsided smile, glancing at the plate in his hands as she scoots over to give him room to sit beside her on the bed.  âMmm⌠Looks delicious.â
Garrus snorts as the plate passes between them before leaning over and kissing her cheek.  âNo it doesnâtâ  He chuckles and pokes the fluff of greenish yellow with the tip of his sharp talon.  âPretty sure itâs not supposed to be that color⌠or smell like that.â
âWhat is it?â Â She leans over and nuzzles his mandible.
âEggsâ
She pauses mid-lean to put the plate on the side table and looks at him in surprise. Â âEggs? Â Really?â Â Clearing her throat, she glances at it. Â âNo offense, but Iâm not eating green eggs. Â Even if there’s a children’s book about it, I’m pretty sure your cooking will kill me.â
