let’s talk about one of my favorite things in this world. garrus vakarian. I love him so much and he’s such a deep, complex character with so many traits and layers, he isn’t just one or two tropes like I’ve seen in some other games
he can be smug
yet so insecure
and awkward
he can be an ass and have completely different morals (I wanted to slap him here)
and yet he can be so selfless (like helping the refugees)
he can be the cheesy overprotective boyfriend
but isn’t clingy and gives you enough space
he’s so pessimistic
but cheers you up anyway
he’s so tender and…intense and loyal
I love him so much.
I agree with all of this except the him being an ass part. I completely understand his hesitance considering that whole alliance, because I know his reasoning. Guy grew up learning about the Rebellions and, even wrong, he understands why the end had to be what I was. Do I refuse to cure the Genophage? Of course not when I know Wrex is there to lead with Bakara, but, dammit, I can’t fault a man from a species taking the brunt of krogan hate because they made the hard decision in a war for his feelings of reluctance about trusting a whole species based on two individuals.
Maybe I’m in the minority, but I see him as a greater character because he has that conflict and because it’s so human – so to speak – to want to risk everything for yourself but not for others. Does it mean he would sell humanity out if it was the same situation? I don’t think so, but it’s that gray area that makes him more real, because, let’s face it, we all deal with that dilemma of self sacrifice or self preservation in life.
have a look through these if you need some inspiration for your requests. It’s a mix of random, fluffy and smutty, so there’s something there for everyone.
Its quite long, so it’s under the cut. Plus, I’ll probably add more to it.
Now with lovely fanart 🙂 I am working on getting the art for this worked into the AO3, and will figure it out eventually. Until then, thank you to @popping-the-heat-sink for both the beta love and the art for this chapter.
Additionally, thank you to @squigglysquidd for the little prompt idea that I worked into this chapter!

If you don’t like spoilers then you probably shouldn’t read . But I know a few that like this sort of thing and I’m quite pleased with how this particular part of the story is turning.
