Hola and happy Wednesday. So, winged Turians, eh? :) I see in my mind’s eye a cold and sparkling aerie with spikes and spires, and other things starting with spi- (not spiders). Er, hmm, cold? Well, that might not work, unless feathers=insulation, so, maybe? Oh yeah, and Turian Town’ll be sexy, too, of course. There! Now you can see why I am a master of world building, not. Stuff I make up is limited to OCs and est. char fleshing out, but it keeps me sane. Have a good one!

Hey, any kind of imagining is good imagining! I admit I didn’t share the Fibonacci Wiki’s (yes, I’m thinking of it as my unpublished, personal wiki, lol) entry on turians. Seeing as how they are different than canon by a lot, I guess I should have! šŸ˜€

Palaven is a very rocky dessert, made of massive cliff faces and deep canyons. Turians have built their homes and cities along the sides of these cliffs and, as result, evolved with wings. Since joining the rest of Eros as a united kingdom, they have built structures for those races without wings, but they settlements are all built into turian-made caverns dug into the sheer cliff faces. I have a picture, but I’ll need to reverse Google search as it’s a person’s art and I would like to give proper credit if I’m sharing it publicly.

Also, their wings are actually more akin to bats (or *cough* dragons) and are quite massive. Again, I have a picture, but I would need to find the artist before sharing.

Thanks for the guessing and ideas, though! I love hearing what readers and such have to say ā¤ļø

So Iā€™ve been doing the math on my winged Fibonacci turians, using flying dinosaurs in particular.

These guys are going to be huge just to be able to carry their weight, but honestly? I canā€™t find a reason to complain. You know me, I love my size differences šŸ˜‰

So the average turian height (without including the height that their folded wings add) is around 7 ft, give or take.

Their weight (wings included) would be around 250lbs and 275lbs (~113 – 125kg)

That would mean that a wingspan – and Iā€™m even fudging the math because that kind of weight would need a hell of a lot more length to the wings – is going to be about 32 – 35ā€² (~10 – 11m).

Whoa…

Although … Iā€™m kinda digging it.

Hola! And good news about the world building. Hopefully this also means that you are feeling few ill effects from last week and are having some happy times. I am just grateful that something in which I am so interested, and that gives me happiness (er, your writing, that is), is good for you. :) Keep resting and recouping!

I love hearing from you and having some support in the huge project Fibonacci is becoming, so thank you for these little asks you send in. And also the comment you left on the fic itself! I haven’t gotten to replying yet, but I greatly appreciate it.

And my recovery is going as well as you’d expect. I’m sore and had a reaction to the adhesive from the surgery, but I’m taking meds for both. Good news is the pathology had no bad results and my doctor said that ultimately, this was a good decision to help with my endometriosis because the state of my reproductive organs wouldn’t have ever allowed me to have children. I don’t mind that because I’m not really in the mindset to want children of my own, so relief of the pain means more to me.

Sorry to ramble, anon, but thank you again for checking up on me!

    Lily barely manages to wait for the door to the apartment to slide open before shuffling her feet as she enters, a huge, over dramatically tired sigh filling the entry.

    Ellie doesnā€™t often get Arcanus off of Virmire and out enjoying himself.

  5. Umbrus Nocturni –

    “Lieutenant Shepard, I’ve looked at your evaluations sent over by Doctors Slavik and Jain. I agree with their recommendation for discharging you.”

  6. The ABCs of Smut –

    Today was the day Solana has been waiting five Palaven standard weeks for, the first day of her week on the Citadel in the company of her wonderful human mate, James Vega.

Just out of curiosity, and if you donā€™t want to share thatā€™s fine, but how do you do your character sheets? Is there a template you use or something?

I donā€™t mind at all! šŸ˜€ (Get ready for a long reply, though)

I actually have two kinds of Character Sheets, one for OCs (that I often use in my original works writing) and one thatā€™s a simple list for canon characters. Iā€™m currently using the latter for Fibonacci worldbuilding since I wonā€™t be changing the basic characteristics of the already established characters.

I got the basic design for the OC character sheet from the internet somewhere and modified it in Google Docs, but Iā€™m sure you can find the original in a Google search. I just like my version because itā€™s not an image, so I can directly write into it and I have spaces where I can even use images to give myself an idea of how Iā€™ll describe something or someone.

I did the same in my Fibonacci worldbuilding, but I donā€™t often share those images with you guys because I didnā€™t go through and give credit to artists. (I can share pictures Iā€™ve found that donā€™t have artists however).
