Call out to Mass Effect writers

They say that if you want to give a life to a character, give him flaws along with strengths.

So, what flaws do your Shepards have?) Tell me. I need some real examples, because my love for Shepard may have blinded me and all I see is perfection in every bit of her XD

P. S.: And please kindly reblog, if you can – the wider the question spreads, the more opinions will there be. And along with that I will be veeery glad to meet new lovely Shepards))

Jane has many flaws.

She’s not intelligent, she can’t hack, can’t understand sciences or math, and only has shooting something as her answer to any question.

She shamelessly flirts, but it most times makes the recipient uncomfortable because she often times refers to sex over compliments of appearance, personality, etc.

When she marries, she is willing to sacrifice everything for her partner, even innocent people, because she’s selfish and doesn’t want to lose what she thinks she deserves just for people she doesn’t care about.

She’s crude, foul mouthed, and opinionated. She’s not diplomatic, choosing to threaten to get her way or taking to violence when she thinks the opposing side is being stupid and unreasonable. She gets angry easily, but curses at any drop of the hat just because she wants to.

Though she has friends on the Normandy – after being hard to open up and consider them friends – she still keeps much of her life hidden. Only her husband knows the truth of her life before the Alliance. She also wouldn’t let anyone else but him know her flaws, thinking others not worthy of seeing them. After everything, she only has the one person she’s ever truly shown trust to, keeping things hidden in some degree or another to everyone else.

I’m sure there are other things, but I can’t think of them at the moment 😛

I really, really dislike the Omega DLC

The only reason I like this DLC is because you can get Aria to admit to being shook by Shepard if you use both paragon and renegade dialogue. I love being able to put Aria on edge enough that she admit is. 😀

Aargh, I’m so done

I’m so done with people who think that just because Liara has extra content that’s she’s Shepard’s canon romance.

No. There is no canon romance.

Yes, she can be romanced in all 3 games. Yes, she is undoubtedly in love with Shepard whether you romance her or not. Yes, she is responsible for Shepard’s body falling into Cerberus hands, which leads to them getting resurrected. Yes, she has her own DLC in ME2.

But none of this means that she is the ‘canon’ romance.

The whole deal with Mass Effect is that we, as the player, get to chose who Shepard is, what their choices are, what actions they take. This includes who Shepard chooses to be (or not be) with.

Im not trying to take anything away from the Liara romance, hey if you love her, go for it.

But please don’t invalidate the other romances so you can feel like your choices are better than anyone else’s.

Canon romance: Shepard and every possible ‘what could go wrong?’ scenario. Those two just can’t get enough of each other.

Tending to a baby bird makes me wonder if turians are born with a layer of fluffiness or not. Boy, I sure hope so because baby birds sure are ugly all naked and screaming, haha
